Water dispensers on rent in Bengaluru
From ₹618/month, inclusive of taxes. Doorstep delivery, maintenance included, three-month minimum.
A dispenser is one of those things a flat feels the lack of every day and a lease makes awkward to own. It is bulky, it is not worth carrying across the city when you move, and in a market where an eleven-month lease is normal, it is rarely the same flat for long. Renting one for the length of the lease gives you hot, cold and normal water at a tap without owning a floor-standing machine you will have to sell or store.
We rent two floor-standing dispensers, both with three taps for hot, cold and normal water and a cooling cabinet under the taps, a small fridge for cans and snacks. One is white with a 19-litre cabinet; the other is black with an 18-litre one. They are top loading, which means a water bottle sits on the machine, and the bottle is not included, so you will need to arrange your own water supply.
Both plug into an ordinary socket, so there is nothing to install, and they stand on the floor, so a corner of the kitchen, living room or office is enough.

Worth knowing before you rent one
Hot, cold and normal from one machine
Three taps give hot water for tea or instant food, cold water straight from the dispenser and normal water at room temperature. The white one heats about a litre an hour and the black one about five litres an hour, so pick by how much hot water you use.
A cooling cabinet under the taps
The cabinet is a small fridge, 19 litres in the white dispenser and 18 in the black one, for cans, snacks and anything else that needs to stay cold. It is useful in a flat with a small refrigerator or an office with none.
You bring the water bottle
Both machines load from the top, and no bottle is included. Arrange a bottle and a supplier before delivery, and plug the dispenser in. Three months is the minimum rental, and longer tenures cost less per month.
What it costs to rent water dispensers in Bengaluru
