From PG to Your First Flat in Bengaluru: A Real Monthly Budget

What a first flat really needs

Skip the wish list. In the first month you need four things you didn't need in a PG:

• A fridge, because you'll finally be cooking or at least storing milk and leftovers

• A sofa, because the floor is not a living room

• A TV, optional, but most people add it by week two

Add a bed and mattress if the flat has no cot, and a proper chair if you work from home.
